About this product
This Faithfull HSS step drill bit cuts a range of hole sizes from 6mm to 30mm in 2mm increments, without needing to change bit. It is made from high-speed steel and is designed for drilling in sheet metal and plastic up to 4mm thick, making it suitable for cable glands, conduit entries and larger fixings. It is not suitable for hardened steel or thicker material. The bit has a 13-step design and a 10mm diameter shank for secure chuck retention and stability during use. As the cutting edges become hot in use and are sharp, the workpiece should be clamped securely rather than held by hand, eye protection worn, and the bit allowed to cool after drilling.
