This Irwin masonry drill bit is designed for fast, efficient drilling into brickwork, concrete and breeze block, particularly with cordless drills. It has a diameter of 7.0mm and a total length of 150mm, with a working length of 115mm. A single flute design aids dust removal, helping maintain drilling speed, while the pressed diamond-ground carbide tip gives an aggressive cutting action and is said to last 20% longer than previous Irwin masonry bits. Irwin state the bit drills up to 60% faster than competitive bits. The body is made from chrome vanadium with a high carbon content, allowing greater hardening for a stronger bit with maximum rupture strength.
