About this product
This Irwin masonry drill bit is designed for fast, efficient drilling in brickwork, concrete and breeze block, particularly with cordless drills. It suits deeper applications through cavity walls and thick masonry. A single flute design gives faster dust removal for increased drilling speed, while the pressed diamond-ground carbide tip allows aggressive cutting action and is said to last 20% longer than previous Irwin masonry bits. Irwin claim drilling speeds up to 60% faster than competitive bits. The body is made from chrome vanadium with a high carbon content, allowing greater hardening for a stronger bit with maximum rupture strength. Diameter is 8.0mm, with a working length of 110mm.
