About this product
These Irwin HSS Cobalt drill bits, supplied as a pack of 2, are designed for drilling stainless steel and other high alloy materials, making them suitable for small bolts, rivets and general fabrication work. Each bit measures 2.5mm in diameter, with a working length of 30mm and an overall length of 57mm.
The body is made from HSS steel containing 5% Cobalt, which improves red hardness (heat resistance) and extends service life when working with tough materials at high drilling temperatures. A 135° split point grinding ensures accurate centring and reduced drilling pressure, while the industrial quality ground flute design supports accurate drilling and fast chip removal. The bits have a golden tempered surface finish.
