About this product

These 8.0mm HSS Cobalt drill bits from Irwin are supplied in a pack of five, suited to heavy-duty drilling in stainless steel and other high alloy steels. The larger diameter makes them well suited to structural fixings, larger brackets and mechanical assembly work in construction, fabrication and engineering. They contain 5% cobalt for improved heat and abrasion resistance, with a heavy-duty web construction giving strength and rigidity at this size. A 135° split point starts cutting immediately, reducing bit walk and improving accuracy, and the bits are manufactured to DIN 338 standards. Overall length is 117mm with a working length of 75mm.
