About this product

This 8.5mm HSS Cobalt Drill Bit, supplied in a pack of 5, is designed for drilling stainless steel and other high alloy steels. It suits clearance holes for larger fixings, pilot drilling for tapping operations, and heavy engineering or fabrication work where precise sizing is needed. The bit contains 5% cobalt throughout for greater heat and abrasion resistance, allowing it to maintain performance in demanding materials. A heavy-duty web construction adds strength and rigidity, while the 135° split point starts drilling immediately, reducing bit walk and improving accuracy. Manufactured to DIN 338 Standards, the bit has an overall length of 117mm and a working length of 75mm.
