Irwin IRWIN® Blue Groove 4X Flat Bit 22 x 152mm 10502814

The 22mm IRWIN® Blue Groove 4X Flat Bit is an excellent choice for larger construction applications in timber, perfect for substantial pipe installations, major cable runs, and heavy-duty carpentry work. This diameter is particularly popular for creating clearance holes for 22mm copper pipe and similar sized fittings. The patented groove point and cutting edge design ensures this 22mm bit cuts cleanly through timber without scraping, producing smooth, professional-quality holes with minimal splintering. Operating up to 4 times faster than conventional flat bits, it significantly reduces drilling time on larger diameter holes. The parabolic scoop efficiently manages wood chip removal whilst maintaining excellent control, essential when working with this larger diameter. Engineered with an increased 17° relief angle for superior cutting efficiency and featuring a 152mm shank that's 10% larger in diameter, this bit offers exceptional durability for demanding professional applications. The robust construction resists bending and maintains accuracy even under sustained intensive use.
