Irwin IRWIN® Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit 14 x 400mm 10502835

The Irwin Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit in 14mm x 400mm offers excellent performance for applications requiring this diameter in timber drilling. This size is commonly specified for M14 fixings, electrical installations, medium-duty plumbing work, and construction applications where precise hole sizing is essential through deep timber structures. Equipped with the patented Blue Groove technology, this 14mm bit features a specially designed groove point and cutting edge that cuts timber efficiently rather than scraping, achieving speeds up to 4 times faster than traditional flat bits. The 400mm extended shank length provides the necessary reach for drilling through floor joists, multiple wall studs, and other deep timber sections. The parabolic scoop design ensures optimal chip evacuation, maintaining clean cutting action and preventing the bit from binding. Constructed with a 10% larger diameter shank for enhanced durability and featuring an improved 17° relief angle for smoother cutting, this bit delivers the reliable, high-quality performance that professional tradespeople demand from their drilling tools.
