Irwin IRWIN® Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit 22 x 400mm 10502840

The Irwin Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit in 22mm x 400mm delivers powerful drilling performance for substantial diameter applications in timber construction. This larger size is particularly well-suited for creating holes for 22mm copper pipe with generous clearance, 28mm plastic pipe, larger electrical installations, substantial cable bundles, and heavy-duty fixings through deep timber members. With its robust 22mm cutting diameter and extended 400mm shank, this bit is the professional's choice for drilling through multiple joists, deep wall cavities, and roof timbers in plumbing, electrical, and construction applications. The patented Blue Groove technology features an advanced groove point and cutting edge that cuts cleanly through timber rather than scraping, delivering speeds up to 4 times faster than conventional flat bits. The parabolic scoop design maintains excellent chip removal even at this larger diameter, preventing clogging and ensuring smooth operation. Engineered with a 10% larger diameter shank for maximum strength and an improved 17° relief angle for efficient cutting, this bit combines speed with durability for the most demanding professional drilling tasks.
