Irwin IRWIN® Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit 25 x 400mm 10502842

The Irwin Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit in 25mm x 400mm provides substantial drilling capability for large diameter applications in timber construction and installation work. This impressive size is ideal for creating holes for 28mm copper pipe with clearance, 32mm plastic pipe, larger conduit installations, substantial cable bundles, and heavy-duty fixings through deep timber structures. The 25mm cutting diameter combined with the extended 400mm shank makes this bit essential for plumbers, electricians, and construction professionals tackling demanding drilling tasks through floor joists, multiple wall studs, and roof timbers. The patented Blue Groove technology with its specially engineered groove point cuts efficiently through timber rather than scraping, achieving speeds up to 4 times faster than traditional flat bits even at this substantial diameter. The parabolic scoop design ensures optimal chip removal, maintaining clean cutting action and preventing the bit from binding. Featuring a reinforced shank that's 10% larger in diameter for maximum durability and an enhanced 17° relief angle for improved cutting efficiency, this bit delivers the professional-grade performance required for intensive trade applications.
