About this product
This Irwin diamond drill bit has a 5mm diameter, suited to smaller pilot holes and precise drilling in tiles for fixings such as wall plugs, pipe penetrations or mounting brackets. It cuts smoothly through all grades of hard and soft tile, making it useful for detailed tiling work in bathrooms and kitchens.
The tough brazed diamond grit provides fast cutting and long life, while the raised diamond grit edge allows drilling to start on hard tile without needing a guide. A reverse spiral design directs water towards the cutting head, keeping the diamonds cool to improve cutting speed and extend tool life, and an auto slug ejection slot allows continuous, uninterrupted cutting. Using the bit with water helps maximise its lifespan.
