About this product
The Thor Classic Hide Hammer (Size 2, 38mm face) offers a controlled, gentle strike that protects delicate or finished surfaces from damage. It suits furniture making, cabinet and joinery work, jewellery making, picture framing and thin sheet metal shaping, where reduced noise and surface protection matter.
The compressed sustainable water buffalo hide face absorbs shock and dampens sound, giving a firm yet quiet strike suitable for shared workspaces. The cast iron head is built for durable, heavy-duty use, while the hardwood handle has anti-vibration properties that minimise recoil for comfort and control.
Weighing around 800-825g with a 38mm diameter face, this size suits larger cabinet assemblies and furniture restoration work requiring more substantial impact than smaller sizes.
