About this product
The Thor 11-712 Thorex Nylon Hammer is a multi-purpose striking tool suited to assembly work, general maintenance and frame construction, as well as trades such as engineering, furniture making, shopfitting and double glazing. It weighs 650g with a 38mm face diameter and a plastic handle. The head is chrome-plated zinc, giving durability, corrosion resistance and a polished finish, while the handle has a rubber grip to reduce slippage and improve comfort during extended use. It comes fitted with two replaceable, screw-in white nylon faces made from impact-resistant Nylon 6/6 (Shore D57-61), one-piece moulded with no metal pegs or inserts that could damage the workpiece. Serrations in the head help stop the faces working loose. Faces can be replaced by hand once worn.
