About this product
This is the largest size in the Thor Super Plastics hammer range, a soft-faced hammer designed for engineering assembly, repair and maintenance work as an alternative to a rawhide-faced hammer. It has a malleable iron head fitted with replaceable, cylindrical ultra-high molecular weight polythene faces, offering high impact performance and abrasion resistance without fracturing, splintering or delaminating.
The head has a 50mm (2 in) diameter face and a wooden handle. Sources vary slightly on the weight, quoting either 1900g or 2000g.
