About this product
This 4-piece set of Faithfull sheet metal butt welding clamps is designed to align panels edge-to-edge and surface-to-surface before welding, holding flat, curved and pressed ribbed panels alike. Maintaining the correct gap between sheets, the clamps help produce clean welds that need minimal grinding afterwards, making them useful for patch repairs to floors, wings and door skins, as well as panel fabrication on reskinning projects. Each clamp uses a simple wing nut and toggle bar mechanism. Slackening the wing nut allows the metal sheets to be positioned between the clamp base and the toggle bar underneath; tightening it pulls the toggle bar up to lock the sheets together side by side. Once tack welded, the wing nut is slackened, the toggle bar removed, and the clamp lifted away before final welding, giving several clamping points across larger workpieces.
