About this product
The Faithfull Professional Slate Cutter is a hand-operated, plier-type tool for cutting and trimming natural slate and fibre cement shingles. It has a hardened steel blade with a 35mm single stroke cutting capacity, suitable for slate up to 3mm thick, and a spring-loaded return action for quick, efficient cutting. An integral nail punch produces 3.2mm diameter fixing holes up to 60mm from the tile edge, avoiding the need for a separate tool. Soft-grip handles add comfort during extended use, and a safety catch locks the tool closed for storage. Its compact size, with an overall length of 300mm, makes it easy to carry in a nail pouch, useful for nibbling slates to fine fits in awkward positions on the roof where a full-size cutter would be difficult to manoeuvre.
