It is manufactured from high quality grey iron castings machined to close tolerances for smooth sliding jaw operation. The Acme thread main screw gives rapid jaw action, with a toe-in function ensuring even pressure across the workpiece. Wooden jaws can be fitted for extra protection of delicate materials.
Finished in blue enamel with a chrome plated main screw and handle for corrosion resistance. Jaw width is 150mm (6in), clamping capacity 145mm (5.3/4in), throat depth 60mm (2in), tommy bar length 125mm (5in), and weight 2.27kg (5lbs).
