About this product
This IRWIN Record woodworking vice has a 230mm (9in) jaw width and a 330mm (13in) jaw opening, making it suited to medium to large workshop projects. A quick-release trigger opens and closes the vice without using the mainscrew, so work pieces can be swapped quickly, while releasing the trigger restores normal fine adjustment via the mainscrew.
An adjustable front stop, or dog, adds extra cramping capability when used with a bench stop, effectively combining a normal vice and tail vice in one tool. Two steel guide rods reduce wear and keep the action smooth and parallel, and the jaws 'toe in' to give even clamping pressure across the full depth of the work piece.
Location holes are provided for fitting wooden cheeks of your choice to protect delicate work pieces.
