About this product
The Monument 458N Tap Reseating Tool re-cuts the worn seats of taps or stopcocks without needing to disconnect the pipework, restoring a proper seal and stopping drips. It suits 1/2 inch BS1010 flat seats and is intended for tradespeople carrying out routine plumbing maintenance. The tool works via a tapered cone that screws into the top of the tap body, provided the body thread runs to the top; for taps with recessed body threads, the parallel bush series should be used instead. Cutters are case hardened for durability, and a feedscrew allows fine adjustment for accurate cutting. It comes complete with 17mm and 19mm (11/16 in and 3/4 in) flat cutters plus a tapered cone, and all parts are interchangeable for easy maintenance and replacement.
