About this product
The Starrett A10 is an arbor for use with hole saws from 32mm to 210mm diameter, suited to electricians, plumbers and contractors carrying out hole-cutting work. It uses a Quick-Hitch mechanism with two locating pins that fit into the hole saw cap, allowing hole saws to be changed instantly without tools and without removing the arbor from the drill chuck, avoiding overtightening on the screw thread. It has an 8.75mm hexagonal shank suited to a 9.5mm (3/8in) capacity chuck, and a 1/2-20 UNF screw thread for compatibility with a wide range of Starrett hole saws. It comes fitted with a high speed steel pilot drill, with a drill length of 79mm; sources vary on the pilot drill diameter. An 'E' suffix denotes a version with an extra-long pilot drill.
