This 79mm Starrett MPH0318 is a Tungsten Carbide Tipped multi-purpose hole saw designed for fast, heat-free cutting of non-metallic materials such as wood, MDF, plastics and ceramic wall tiles. It suits both construction and DIY use, with a cutting depth of 54mm (2 1/8"), enough to cut through strapping and joists.
The carbide-tipped teeth give a smooth cut with minimal heat build-up and are built for durability, offering considerably faster cutting than a standard bi-metal hole saw. It works in both mains and battery-powered tools, and the 5/8-18" thread size fits compatible arbors, including versions with extended pilot drills.
