The Makita DTD153 is an 18V LXT brushless impact driver supplied as a bare unit, without battery, charger or case, making it a cost-effective addition for those already using the Makita LXT battery system. It offers a maximum fastening torque of 170 Nm and an impact rate of up to 3,600 impacts per minute, with a no-load speed of 0-3,400 rpm, suited to driving machine screws (M4-M8), standard bolts (M5-M16), high tensile bolts (M5-M14) and coarse thread fasteners from 22-125mm.
It features a 1/4in hex one-touch sliding chuck for quick bit changes, a soft grip handle for comfort, an electric brake, forward/reverse rotation and a variable speed trigger. A built-in LED light with pre-glow and after-glow aids visibility, and there's a belt clip. The tool weighs 1.3kg.
