The Makita DTD173 is an 18V LXT cordless brushless impact driver aimed at trade users needing power and precision in confined spaces. Its slim, compact body and pistol grip give a comfortable, controlled hold, while the optimised battery layout keeps the centre of gravity in line with the grip for better balance.
A brushless motor offers longer runtime and reduced maintenance, backed by 4-stage speed and impact selection for varied fastening tasks, plus an electric brake for quick stopping. An anti-bit wobbling structure with two ball bearings secures the anvil for accurate driving, and a built-in LED light with adjustable brightness aids visibility.
Max torque reaches 180Nm, with speeds up to 3600rpm and impact rates up to 3800 per minute. It takes a 1/4in hex shank and suits bolts from M5-M16. Supplied as a bare unit without battery, charger or case.
