The Makita DJV181 is an 18v LXT cordless brushless jigsaw supplied as a bare unit, without battery, charger or case, aimed at tradespeople already using the Makita LXT battery system. Its barrel grip design suits detailed cutting and work in confined spaces.
The brushless motor gives cutting capacities of up to 135mm in wood, 20mm in aluminium and 10mm in steel, with variable speed from 800 to 3,500 strokes per minute and a 26mm stroke length. A change lever offers three orbital settings plus straight cutting, and the rigid aluminium base bevels 0 to 45 degrees left and right.
Other features include tool-less blade changing, a soft start and soft no-load function to reduce vibration when idling, an improved dust extraction hose joint, a blower to clear dust from the cutting line, and a twin LED job light. Weight is approximately 2.5kg.
