About this product
The ABUS 65/40 is a solid brass padlock with a standard hardened steel shackle, designed for medium-security applications where goods are of average value or at an average risk of theft. It suits chains, doors, gates, cupboards, lockers, toolboxes, cellar windows, sheds and switchboards. The brass body resists corrosion in both indoor and outdoor settings, while the shackle carries a NANO PROTECT coating. Internally, all components are made from non-corrosive materials for lasting reliability. Security comes from a precision pin cylinder with mushroom counter pins and a paracentric keyway, giving strong resistance to picking and manipulation. The lock closes automatically without needing the key, simply by pressing the shackle shut. ABUS rates this padlock at Security Level 5. It measures 40mm wide, 62mm high and 15mm deep, with a 6mm shackle diameter, and is supplied carded.
