About this product
The Black & Decker KS890ECN Scorpion Saw is a 400W powered saw that works as both a handsaw and a jigsaw, allowing straight-line or curved cuts to be made without switching tools. It's suitable for cutting wood, metal and plastic, making it a flexible option for a range of jobs.
Variable speed control from 0 to 5,500 strokes per minute allows the cutting speed to be matched to the material being worked, with a stroke length of 10mm. It accepts blades of 134mm, 153mm and 239mm in size. A tool-free push-button blade change system allows quick blade swaps, and a safety lock-off switch helps prevent the saw from starting unintentionally.
The saw runs from a 240V mains supply with a 3m cable for extended reach. Weight is given variously as 2.23kg and 4.0kg across sources.
