About this product

This TCT bearing-guided rebater from Trend is designed for cutting rebates in straight and shaped workpieces, with a 1/4in shank. It includes a choice of bearings, allowing the rebate size to be altered simply by changing the bearing fitted, giving accurate depth of cut and easy set-up. It is particularly suited to delicate work such as musical instrument production, where a small rebate is needed for inserting purfling. Three bearings are supplied: a 22.0mm bearing giving a 1mm rebate, a 19mm bearing giving a 2.5mm rebate, and a 16mm bearing giving a 4mm rebate. Cutting diameter is 24mm with a cut length of 12.7mm. When a full depth of cut is required with the smallest bearing, it is recommended to make two passes, using a larger bearing first.
