About this product
ForgeFast wood screws measuring 4.5 x 70mm, supplied in a box of 100, suited to interior use in thick timber assemblies such as structural beams and substantial floor joists. The Pozi-compatible drive has six underhead lobes for cleaner countersinking and reduced surface dust, while the reinforced countersunk neck improves holding power.
An anti-friction, serrated thread reduces splitting and jacking of joined timber, improves pull-out resistance and drawing strength, and lowers insertion torque. A double cutting point speeds up drilling, reduces dust clogging and can pierce 0.8mm steel.
The screws carry an Elementech 400 coating, giving anti-corrosive protection said to last up to six times longer than standard zinc finishes. The coating contains no Cr6+ and has been salt spray tested to 400 hours.
