About this product
5mm x 50mm ForgeFix Multi-Purpose Screws, supplied in a box of 200. These zinc-plated, countersunk screws are designed for use with PVCu, timber, chipboard, MDF and similar materials, and are used across joinery, electrical, plumbing and general DIY trades.
The Pozidriv-compatible drive offers four additional contact points compared with a standard Phillips head and no rounded corners, reducing cam-out and allowing greater torque during installation. A 45-degree embossed line on the head identifies the drive type. The countersunk head sits flush with the substrate for a smooth finish.
The zinc plating protects against corrosion by forming a barrier that oxidises to a fine white dust without weakening the substrate. The single thread design is intended to give higher pull-out values and quicker insertion, suited to heavier duty fixing tasks.
