About this product
ForgeFast Torx-compatible wood screws measuring 5.0 x 70mm, supplied in a box of 100 with a matching Torx-compatible driver bit. The length suits heavy-duty structural interior work, such as fixing timber through plasterboard into blockwork or joining thick timber sections, with the 5mm diameter giving reliable holding power and shear resistance.
The patented drill and drive thread creates its own pilot hole, reducing splitting and preventing jacking between fixed components, while a sharp point pierces steel up to 0.8mm. The reinforced countersunk neck with recessed ribs improves countersinking, reduces surface dust and boosts holding power.
Screws are finished in Elementech 400, an anti-corrosive, Cr6+-free coating said to outlast standard zinc coatings by up to six times, and salt spray tested to 400 hours. Intended for interior use.
