ForgeFast wood screws in 5.0 x 90mm size, supplied in a box of 100 with a Torx® compatible bit. The longer length suits heavy-duty structural work, such as fixing timber through thick insulation to blockwork, joining substantial timber sections and structural timber frame connections, with the 5mm diameter giving reliable holding power and shear resistance.

The screws have a patented drill and drive thread that reduces splitting, jacking and spinning of joined timber while improving pull-out resistance. A sharp point gives fast bite and can pierce 0.8mm steel. Recessed ribs under the countersunk head improve countersinking and reduce surface dust.

An Elementech 400 coating gives anti-corrosive protection said to last up to six times longer than standard zinc coatings, contains no Cr6+, and has been salt spray tested to 400 hours. Suitable for interior use.
