About this product
The Makita DHR171 is an 18V LXT cordless SDS Plus rotary hammer drill, supplied as a body only unit without battery, charger or case. It uses a brushless motor for improved efficiency and runtime compared with a standard motor, and offers two modes of operation: rotary only and rotary hammer.
It drills up to 17mm in concrete, 10mm in steel and 13mm in wood, with an impact rate of 0-4,800 impacts per minute and 1.2 joules of impact energy. A one-touch sliding chuck allows easy bit changes, and the tool features variable speed control, constant speed control, forward/reverse rotation, an electric brake and an LED job light.
The compact design includes a vibration absorbing housing, with a side handle and depth stop included. It is compatible with the wider Makita 18V LXT battery range.
