About this product
The Makita DHR242 is an 18V cordless SDS Plus hammer drill powered by an efficient brushless DC motor for higher productivity and reduced energy loss. It offers three modes of operation – rotary drilling, hammer drilling and chiselling – and features a one-touch slide chuck for quick SDS Plus bit changes.
The body is split into upper and lower housings joined with vibration-absorbing rubber cushions, reducing vibration transmitted to the battery terminals and helping to prevent terminal breakage or poor contact.
Capacities are 13mm in steel, 24mm in concrete and 27mm in wood, with an impact energy of 2.0 joules, no-load speed of 0-950rpm and impact rate of 0-4,700bpm. Supplied with two 18V 5.0Ah Li-ion batteries, a DC18RC charger, side handle, depth gauge and a MakPac Type 4 carry case.
