The Makita DHR243 is an 18V LXT cordless SDS Plus rotary hammer drill, supplied as a bare unit without battery, charger or case, suited to professionals who already have Makita 18v LXT batteries. It features a brushless motor for improved efficiency and runtime, and a quick-change chuck allowing switching between SDS-plus bits and standard bits. It offers three modes of operation: rotation with hammering, hammering only, and rotation only, along with an ergonomic, vibration-dampened handle design that reduces fatigue and protects battery terminals from vibration damage.
Drilling capacities are up to 24mm in concrete, 13mm in steel and 27mm in wood, with a no-load speed of 0-950rpm and up to 4,700 blows per minute. Impact energy is around 2.0-2.4 joules, and the tool weighs approximately 3.3-3.4kg. It comes with a depth stop, side handle and quick-change chuck.
