About this product
The Dormer E500 is a metric coarse straight flute tap made from high speed steel (HSS), designed for cutting M14 x 2mm right-hand threads to a 6H tolerance. It can be used by hand or in a machine, making it suitable for a wide range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals.
This is the Second tap, forming part of a set with Taper (First) and Bottoming (Third/Plug) taps, typically used together for blind holes. The straight flute design gives effective chip clearance for smooth, accurate threading, and the tap has a bright surface finish. Overall length is 95mm.
