This Dormer HSS Metric Coarse Combination Drill & Spiral Flute Tap combines a core-hole drill and tap in one tool, producing a thread in a single pass. This cuts down the time needed to form a thread on site, as there's no need for a separate tap wrench or tool change when using a hand-held power tool. The tool has a steam-tempered surface which helps retain lubricant for smoother cutting.
Made from High Speed Steel to ISO standards, it is suitable for use on most materials and can be run in reversible, variable-speed power tools. It has a cylindrical shank with a square drive, two flutes, right-hand cutting, and is designed for through-hole work in steel and cast steel.
Size M5, with a tip diameter of 4.2mm, threading length of 15mm and overall length of 69mm.
