About this product
The Dormer E500 is a coarse metric straight flute tap made from high speed steel, suitable for general-purpose threading in steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals. The straight flute design gives effective chip clearance for smooth, accurate threading, and the tap can be used by hand or in a machine.
This is the Second (intermediate) tap in a three-piece set alongside the Taper and Bottoming taps, intended for use together when tapping blind holes. It is right-hand cut to ISO 529 with a 6H (Class 2) tolerance.
Size: M16, thread pitch 2mm, overall length 102mm.
