About this product
The Dormer E500 is a straight flute HSS tap for cutting metric coarse threads by hand or machine. It suits a wide range of materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals, and its straight flutes give effective chip clearance for smooth, accurate threading.
This is the bottoming (plug) tap in a set, used after taper and second taps to complete threads in blind holes. It is sized M16 with a 2mm pitch, 6H tolerance, bright finish, and conforms to ISO 529.
