Sikkens Cetol HLS Plus Translucent Woodstain in Light Oak is a low build, solvent-borne semi-gloss woodstain supplied in a 5 litre size suited to larger exterior projects such as cladding, decking and fencing. It gives a subtle, translucent finish that enhances the natural woodgrain while protecting against mould, algae, UV radiation, peeling and cracking. The microporous, water-repellent formula allows timber to breathe while resisting moisture.

It can be used as a finishing coat on exterior softwood and hardwood substrates, or as a base stain that absorbs readily into timber to provide a sound foundation for further coats. It may be used alone as a complete system on cladding, decking and garden furniture, or as a base before applying Cetol Filter 7 Plus or Cetol THB Plus on windows and doors. It should not be used alone as a finish for hardwood timbers.
