About this product
Sikkens Cetol HLS Plus is a low build, solvent-borne semi-gloss woodstain in Teak, supplied here in a 5 litre size. It can be used both as a base stain and as a finishing coat, offering a highly translucent finish that brings out the natural woodgrain while protecting against mould, algae, UV radiation, peeling and cracking. The formulation is microporous and water-repellent, allowing timber to breathe while resisting moisture. As a finishing coat, it suits exterior softwood and hardwood substrates such as cladding, fascias, soffits, rough sawn timber and fencing. As a base stain, it is readily absorbed into timber to provide a sound foundation for further coats, and can be used alone on cladding, decking and garden furniture, or before applying Cetol Filter 7 Plus or Cetol THB Plus on windows and doors. It should not be used alone as a finish for hardwood timbers.
