About this product
The Makita GA5021 is a 110V angle grinder aimed at professional grinding, cutting and finishing work in metalworking, fabrication and construction settings. It has a 1,050W motor with a no-load speed of around 11,000-12,000rpm, taking 125mm wheels with a 22mm bore and M14x2mm spindle. Weight is quoted as either 2.5kg or 2.7kg depending on source.
It features double insulated construction, a large trigger switch, soft start, and dust-proof protection for the motor. The Super Joint System (SJS) uses a mechanical clutch to let the drive shaft slip if the wheel binds, protecting the gears and motor and extending tool life.
Supplied with a side handle, lock nut wrench and wheel guard; some listings also include an abrasive or inox grinding disc.
