About this product
This Irwin auger drill bit measures 12mm in diameter with an overall length of 191mm and a working length of 114mm, suited to heavy-duty joinery, coach screws and larger cable routing in timber. It is designed for general wood boring, giving reliable performance in both soft and hard woods.
A single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smooth, clean finish, useful for visible joinery and precision fastener work. The hexagon shank resists slipping in drill chucks or bit extensions, while the solid centre adds rigidity to cope with the higher cutting forces of larger-diameter boring.
A self-feeding screw point speeds up boring and eases repetitive drilling, and the body is hardened from tip to shank for durability under demanding use. Supplied as a single bit.
