Irwin IRWIN® Blue Groove Wood Power Bit 18mm 10507714

The Irwin Blue Groove Power 18mm wood drill bit uses Irwin's bi-metal technology, combining a high-speed steel edge with a carbon steel body. This construction lets it cut through nail-embedded wood without locking or breaking, addressing a common problem with standard flat bits. The steel edge provides durability and nail-cutting capability, while the carbon steel body gives the bit flexibility under stress.

A self-feeding tip pulls the bit through the material with minimal resistance, and three cutting edges improve chip removal for a fast, clean hole. At 18mm diameter, it suits larger pipe work, cable runs and heavier fixtures, making it useful for plumbers and electricians drilling through joists and studs. Overall length is 157mm, supplied as a single bit.
