About this product
The Dormer P801 is a solid carbide rotary burr with a cylinder shape and no end cut, designed for general machining and precision surface work. It suits a wide range of materials, including steel and cast steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper and its alloys, high-temperature alloys and hardened materials. It uses a double cut geometry with closely spaced edges, which improves control, increases metal removal rate and breaks swarf into manageable pieces for a smoother finish with reduced vibration. The toughened, hardened steel shank adds rigidity and strength, helping to prevent bending and extend tool life, while special brazing gives a strong bond between the carbide tip and shank. Specifications: diameter 6.3mm, shank diameter 3mm, working length 12.7mm, overall length 45mm, uncoated finish.
