About this product
The Dormer P801 is a solid carbide rotary burr in a cylinder shape without an end cut, designed for precision surface machining. It suits steel and cast steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper and its alloys, high-temperature alloys and hardened materials. It has a double cut (DC) flute geometry with closely spaced edges, improving control, increasing metal removal rate and breaking swarf into manageable pieces, while giving smooth finishes and reduced vibration. The toughened, hardened steel shank adds rigidity and strength, helping prevent bending and vibration for improved tool life, with special brazing for strength and good impact and heat resistance. Specification: 8mm cutting diameter, 6mm cylindrical shank diameter, 19mm working length and 64mm overall length. Finish: bright (uncoated).
