The Bahco 9631 is a long-series flat bit designed for drilling deep, accurate holes in wood, particularly useful for reaching awkward spots such as waste pipe runs, ventilation ducts and other construction work requiring extended reach. This version has a 30mm diameter and an overall length of 400mm.

It is made from high-carbon steel, heat-treated throughout, with a hardened blade forged directly from the round shaft for rigidity and accuracy when drilling deep holes. A positive cutting angle allows it to drill holes twice as fast and last three times longer than a conventional bit.

The winged shoulder design first cuts the wood circumference before removing the centre section, giving a smooth finish and good swarf clearance even at this larger diameter.
