About this product
This DEWALT Extreme 2 metal drill bit is designed for portable or stationary drilling of steel, alloyed and non-alloyed, up to 900N/mm. It's also effective in wood and plastic materials, and is particularly suited to sheet or thin materials where accurate, burr-free holes are needed. A patented split pilot point eliminates walking or slipping on contact, aiding accurate positioning even on curved surfaces. A tapered web with a strong central core reduces breakage, while the gold ferrous oxide coating helps prevent overheating for longer bit life. Three flat sides stop the bit slipping in the chuck, and permanent size markings above the shank improve visibility. Specification: HSS head, 5.0mm diameter, 46mm working length, 86mm overall length, supplied as a single bit.
