About this product
This DEWALT Extreme 2 metal drill bit is designed for portable or stationary drilling of steel, both alloyed and non-alloyed, up to 900N/mm. It is particularly suited to drilling sheet or thin materials where accurate, burr-free holes are needed, and also works effectively in wood and plastic. A strong central core with a tapered web reduces breakage, while a gold ferrous oxide coating helps prevent overheating for longer bit life. The patented split pilot point eliminates walking or slipping on contact, aiding accurate positioning even on curved surfaces. Three flat sides stop the bit slipping in the chuck, and permanent size markings above the shank keep the size visible. Specification: tip diameter 5.5mm, working length 57mm, overall length 93mm, supplied as a single bit.
