About this product

This pack of ten DEWALT Extreme 2 metal drill bits is made from high-speed steel and designed for portable or stationary drilling of steel, both alloyed and non-alloyed, up to 900N/mm. They are also effective in wood and plastic materials, and particularly suited to drilling sheet or thin materials where accurate, burr-free holes are needed. A split point tip prevents the bit from walking or slipping on contact, allowing accurate hole placement, while precision-ground flutes aid chip removal and reduce friction and heat build-up. Three flat sides on the shank stop the bit slipping in the chuck, and a tapered web with gold ferrous oxide coating reduces breakage and overheating. Permanent size markings above the shank aid visibility. Each bit has a diameter of 5.5mm, a working length of 57mm and an overall length of 93mm.
