About this product

The Dormer A002 is a metric HSS jobber drill bit with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, supplied as a pack of 2 in a pouch. It has a tip diameter of 3.00mm, working length of 33mm and overall length of 61mm. The pointed web and fluted tip design gives efficient cutting with reduced axial force and accurate centring, while the web improves strength, rigidity and feed. The flutes assist chip evacuation, and tool-in-situ marking aids identification. The optimised helix angle adds stiffness across the diameter range, and the bright body improves cutting performance on ductile materials. The TiN coating resists flank and crater wear and reduces friction, allowing increased cutting speeds and extended tool life. Suitable for both hand-held and machine drilling, it is made to DIN 338 with a 118° point angle, for use on metal, wood, plastic and other materials.
